  1. Hey Louis, from reading your post, it seems that most of the local opportunities come from poor customer satisfaction (such as the Frontier Communications article) or a lack of confidence in a product due to technical malfunctions (Busch Gardens article). I also covered Tampa in my blog post so it was cool that you found different opportunities. The one article we both chose was the one about the school board. I found your description of the problem to be interesting since you offered a possible solution.

  2. Louis,

You are right, many people already fear roller coasters and this incident will not help. Fortunately the back up systems worked perfectly to prevent any loss of life. Also, my parents just had to switch to Frontier and they still have some service out. They not only want their money back for non service, but also are unhappy that they made a contract with Verizon and now forced to used Frontier instead of the option to choose another company. Duke Energy has always had unhappy customers and complaints of too high bills. For the charter schools, parent's money should be applied to meet their children's educational needs with appropriate oversight. Unfortunately for the Tribune, it was always a smaller company and to survive you have to adapt, which they didn't.

  3. Hey Louis, all of these articles are very interesting and seem so avoidable. It's crazy that people just didn't pay enough attention to their customers and that's really how all of these issues occurred. I think the issue with charter schools is interesting because whenever dealing with one's children and their wellbeing people get very serious. I wonder how helpful it would be in implementing laws about this. I am also interested in seeing what type of solutions you come up with for any of them, if any! Thank you so much for sharing.
